Client: Self-Directed/School Projects

Being a bit of a bibliophile (I'm currently out of bookcase space), I've always had a great deal of interest in book cover design.

In Transit cover

Before I even considered a career in design, I created this book as part of a class project. The design was done primarily by myself in collaboration with others in my group.

In Transit, inside

We sold these at an end-of-year show, and people expected to see a stapled booklet. When they saw our book, we sold out in under half an hour. Everyone got an A.

A History of Sense

A day assignment (we had eight hours to produce a final), this was for the cover of a book described as "an aphrodisiac for the senses".

Back Cover

This was pieced together using my dusty '30's-era Underwood and random photographs I had lying around: my red bedsheet, and photos of people's features (the hand, nose, and eye are mine).
